Over the Easter bank holiday weekend we visited the Dove Stone Reservoir in Oldham. The weather was something to be desired…however, we had a fresh blustery walk nonetheless!
The best bit of the day was driving up past Saddlesworth to the moor land. It looked and felt like we had reached the top of the earth! The moor was still holding some very unexpected snow and looked bleak and extremely vast.
We parked up, brewed up and like a pair of old marrieds to eat our sandwiches! It was a beautiful if bleak place and we enjoyed sharing stories of ‘imagine if you saw a wolf emerging from behind the rock; imagine if a giant bird rose up’ etc…IMAGINE!
